Santiago, eyes wide open (almost)

See the smog?! Clean air bill hasn´t been introduced here am thinking.
It was actually a really good day when we landed, very warm and blue. 4 hours before on the same day after we took off from New Zealand. Jet lag like you don´t know. Having 2 Weds 25th April. And going from 13 hours ahead of UK to 5 hours behind really does do strange things to the body. Seeing the enormous snow covered Andes as we hit the tarmac was quite something. Not to mention the utter realisation that we are now in a place where being Spanish is what you have to be, impressed with our language talents in our first night out and lovely meat and rice, vine leaves and the best beer and red wine for months. Have learnt pretty quickly that rivers in cities like this aren´t for recreation, more disposal. Wooaa-here goes.

Drunk and Dehydrated

The reason why the birthday aftermath looks so bad :)

The birthday of the boy Harris

It was 4am for this bowl of chips.

As Matty is a good abiding boy, his birthday fell on Good Friday this year. This caused a slight problem in NZ for those people, i.e. us, that are prone to celebrating birthdays in pubs and drinking all day. Every pub you wanted an alcholic drink in required you to eat. So, we had lots of plates of chips to accompany our wine and cocktails in between our lunch and dinner. And, a cracking day and evening!
