In a piece of Sky inspired nostalgia (it happened to be on) I watched the Running Man last night - the first 18 film I saw. Now it may be that in the decade that has passed since I last watched it and perhaps I have become less squimish, but I'm not really sure why it is an 18, there's about the same level of violence as the new x-men film and that is a 12. I must be getting old.
It also doesn't seem to have an ending, the film starts, carries on, gets towards an ending and then just gives up and stops. That's the 80s for you mind, no depth :)

The original Richard Bachman (Stephen King alter-ego) short story had a far better (and more gruesome) ending. And better plot as well to be honest.
Still quite enjoyed the film tho in a mindless kind of way
Yeah I read the short story years ago and preferred it
